Our Story

It can be a wonderful thing to travel with kids in tow! Travel can enrich a child's life and give him/her new insights that would be impossible to achieve at home.

Having said this, getting there (with kids) can beat the best of us! Even the most experienced traveler may be tempted to turn in his passport after a 12-hour trip with a bored and impatient child.

My love of travel stayed alive even after my daughter and son were born. We average approximately 2 long (over 8 hours) car trips and 1 plane trip per year. In addition, we travel to Europe every other year. I think at this point, I have seen it all as far as child behavior goes!

While preparing for a trip to Europe, I hit upon an idea that would help my Are-we-there-yet?-daughter cope with the long journey - a specialized, interactive map that she could understand and see exactly how much farther we had to go. Wow! We experienced a totally new kind of travel! No longer did I attempt to get us from point A to point B as quickly as possible, but for the first time, the trip was a relaxing and enjoyable experience!…Kids Go! Travel was born.
